Ingredient : Clotrimazol 100mg

Point : - Mixed vaginosis, vaginitis accompanied by white blood, bacterial and fungal itching,

Trichomonas vaginitis, mixed etiology vaginitis.
- Treatment of vulvar and vaginal fungal diseases, as well as candidiasis.

Pharmacodynamic:  - Clotrimazol: is a broad-spectrum antifungal antibiotic used to treat cases of skin
diseases caused by infection with various pathogenic fungi and also works on
Tricomonas, Staphylococcus and Bacteroides. No effect on Lactobacillus.The mechanism
of action of Clotrimazol is to bind to the phospholipids in the fungal cell membrane,
alter the membrane permeability, cause loss of intracellular essential substances,
leading to the destruction of fungal cells.
In vitro, clotrimazol inhibits and kills fungi, depending on concentration, with strains of
Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Epidermophyton fl oc-cosum, Mycrosporum canis and
candida species.
Natural resistance to clotrimazol is rare. Only one strain of clotrimazol-resistant Candida
gulliermondi was isolated. Cross resistance between azol is common. The drug has a
local therapeutic effect for cases of vaginitis of various causes.

Pharmacokinetics: After vaginal clotrimazol - 14C 100mg, the average peak serum concentration is equivalent to only 0.03mcg clotrimazol / ml after 1-2 days.

Dosage - Usage
Dosage and Administration:

Adults:- For acute vaginitis: 1 capsule (100mg) at a time, 1-2 times a day (morning and evening), after 1 tablet in the evening for 6-8 days.Then maintain 1 tablet in the evening for 6-8 days. 

- Chronic vaginitis: 1 capsule in the evening for 14 days.
Note when using:
- Before placing, put the tablet in the freezer for about 5-10 minutes, rinse the vagina,
place deeply into the vagina every night before going to bed.
- For best results, push the tablet as deep into the vagina as possible with your finger.

Overdose: When used overdose may be neutropenia and peripheral sensory neuropathy, recover when treatment is stopped.

  Contraindications : - Hypersensitivity to any components of the drug (very rare) Special Notes and Precautions when using: 

- Avoid sexual intercourse during treatment. To prevent re-infection, it is necessary to treat the sexual partner at the same time.
- Must be treated with sufficient time even though the symptoms improve. After 4 weeks of treatment, if it does not help, you need to be examined again.
- Avoid sources of infection or reinfection.
- May reduce the reliability of mechanical contraception (condoms, vaginal diaphragms) due to the interaction of bullets and rubber diaphragms.

Drug interactions :- There has been no notice of synergistic or antagonistic effects between clotrimazol and nystatin, amphotericin B or fl ucytosin with C. albicans species. Serum tacrolimusconcentration of liver transplant patients increases when used concurrently with clotrimazol. Therefore, tacrolimus dose should be reduced as needed. 

Side effects:
Local reactions (> 1%) include minor burns, irritation, vaginal irritation. Especially when
there is open wound. If the above symptoms are mild, unclear, then no need to
discontinue the drug.

Inform your physician of the side effects that occur when taking the drug.

Precautionary note : Use of drugs during pregnancy and lactation: 

- Pregnancy There are not enough research data on pregnant women in the first 3
months. This drug is only used for pregnant women in the first 3 months when clearly
indicated by a doctor.
- The period of breastfeeding It is not known whether the drug is excreted in milk or not,
cautious when used for breastfeeding.
Affect ability to operate machinery and drive: No effect.

Preservation:

Store in a dry, protected from light, at room temperature not exceeding 30 ºC. Keep out
of reach of children
Shelf life: 3 years from date of manufacture. Do not use after expiry date.
